Relax – There’s nothing to worry about!!!

We have heard many agents express concerns about the new contract which will be available as of February 1, 2017. Effective then we will experience the first major change in our contracts for many years. Some agents aren’t even aware that a major change is about to take place. Others agents have indicated they want to just keep using the current contract. Clearly we will have many questions, educational opportunities, myths and rumors to be dispelled.

At West USA Realty we want to be ahead of the curve. We will have a CE Class – New AAR Purchase Contract – Contract Law at our Corporate Training Center on 12/14/16 from 1 until 4 PM to start this educational process. We will cover all of the revisions and explain the “why” and “how” of those revisions. Example: Why are the Seller Warranties going to be removed? What will the impact of that be? How, if at all does it affect the “As Is” Addendum. There are changes that affect the earnest deposit, changes in some of the timelines and more.

Will our responsibilities differ as a listing agent with these changes? What about responsibilities as a buyer broker? Will our recommendations to our buyers or sellers differ now? Will we negotiate differently?

As you can see there are a lot of questions but the good news is we have the answers and can’t wait to share them with all of you.
Mark your calendar now to set some time aside if you can. There will be other classes scheduled soon and we will get those dates to you as soon as they are confirmed. In addition we will prepare some blogs, webinars and videos to address all of the changes.
