A message from Michael Hofstetter, Designated Broker at West USA Realty
Dear Agents and Staff,
By now most of you know that West USA Realty has made a change, our beloved Dale Hillard has stepped down and I have accepted the honor as Designated Broker. This change reminds me of my very first day when I started at West USA Realty 23 years ago. Like you, I had a choice where to work and hang my license. I joined because I believe West USA Realty is the best, and I knew there was no better company if I wanted to succeed. This is the very same inspiration that continues to drive me today.
Clay Fouts, our Founder/CEO, has taken the company from an idea to one of the greatest and most admired real estate companies in Arizona and the United States. West USA Realty has and will remain a leader in the Arizona real estate industry heading into the future. My job is to ensure that you the agent, and West USA, receive the best broker support.
As we start a new phase of our journey together, I wanted to share some background on myself and what inspires and motivates me. I am an Arizona native, graduated from Paradise Valley High School in 1986 and shortly after joined the United States Navy.I’ve been married for 19 years and we have 2 beautiful daughters. I started my career in real estate with West USA Realty in 1993 after my Honorable discharge in 1992.
I practiced real estate and supervised teams for ten years when I realized my passion is helping agents with transactions and issues.I love empowering agents to do amazing things and working together to solve problems. Therefore, I received my Broker license in 2004, and not knowing where to start, went to our very own Broker “Bob” Stephens and asked, “How do I become a broker for West USA Realty?”. Bob stated, “You can’t have my job so you will need to go somewhere else to become a broker!” So, that started my 10-year journey that ended back here at West USA as managing broker in 2014. I have been a Broker for some of the largest brokerages in Arizona and I believe that if you are not learning new things, you stop doing great things. So, family, curiosity and hunger for knowledge all define me.
Additionally, I know that I could never replace our current designated broker C. Dale Hillard. Dale has shown all of us the value of honesty, sincerity and trust. I want to thank him for all he has taught me the past 3 years as a broker and will continue to live by the Golden Rule. The knowledge and wisdom he has imparted upon me will be the building blocks for the future of our broker services and team. He has been an excellent friend, teacher, mentor and a great inspiration for me.
Finally, I truly believe that each of us must find meaning in our work as I have. The best work happens when you know that it’s not just work, but something that will improve other people’s lives. This is the opportunity that drives each of us at West USA Realty. Many companies aspire to change the world, however, very few have all the elements required; talent, resources, and perseverance. West USA Realty has proven that it has all three in abundance. As the new Designated Broker, I can’t ask for a better foundation.
